he Kenya National Examinations Council (KNEC) is the national body responsible for overseeing national examinations in Kenya. Its current chairman is Professor John Onsati. This council was established under the Kenya National Examinations Council Act Cap 225A of the Laws of Kenya, in 1980. In 2012 this act was repealed in 2012 and replaced with KNEC Act No.29 of 2012.


Kenya Accountants and Secretaries National Examinations Board (KASNEB)is a corporate body established by the Government of Kenya on 24 July 1969. The Board operates under the provisions of the Accountants Act (Cap. 531) of the Laws of Kenya. The Board develops, administers, manages and conducts examinations at professional and technician levels in accounting, finance, administration, management and cognate subjects. .


TVET (Technical and Vocational Education and Training) is education and training which provides knowledge and skills for employment.TVET uses formal, non-formal and informal learning.TVET is recognised to be a crucial vehicle for social equity, inclusion and sustainable development.
